We went down to Temple Square as a family. Owen was lifted up so he could see the the statue of Christ, I asked him if he saw Jesus. He said "NO I didn't see him, it was only a statue" It was so cute, we had to explain that it was a statue of Jesus. Got to love 3yr old innocence.

I love this time of year so much. It is always so much fun to be with our family. This year I have so much grattitude. It has been a long 6weeks with me having my hysterectomey and I am so thankful for all the help I received from our families and friends. Mike and the kids have been great to help and I can't imagine it was always easy for Mike to be Dad and Mom but he is so amazing, I can't imagine not having him in my life. The kids were also great help. Emily was so great to help around the house or with Owen. Owen started telling everyone his "best friends" (Imaginary friends) had belly aches and had to rest. HA HA HA it is so funny what they think of because of what is going on with those around them. Our fmaily could not ask for a better family and neighborhood, My sister Jen and Kathy practically lived at out house while Mike was working and helped clean, do laundry and most importantly play with Owen. What would we do with out them all? I also am so grateful for the gospel and that we have the knowledge to do what we need to do to be together forever and that we all have been given free agency. I am grateful that my kids like to be together most of the time and that my 3yr old sings church songs all day long. I love that Emily likes to go to Young Womens and is excited to be doing her Personal Progress. I love that Andrew is so patient and kind to everyione and is also loving Scouts. I am happy that Mike and I have great jobs to provide for our family and that I have a great group of friends at work that I can rely on. Thank you to all of our family and friends. We hope you have a great holiday season.

We have all had such a great time with the FC Pride team.

Mike has decided to stop coaching in that division due to some personal issues as well as the division changing rules on that you have to have 100 girls in the club to have a team.

It has been such a learning experience for the entire family.
Emily has improved so much throughout the last two years and made friendships that will continue on.

Mike has learned what is really important to him in life and I am so proud of him. we are all so lucky to have him in our life. The last game and week after was very hard for Emily, One of her best friends is playing on a different team and she was sad. I think change is always hard at first. I am sure they will stay friends even without soccer.

All of the girls had awesome personalities and got along great.
We will miss all of there fun personalities and energy.

Ems Kiwani Scholarship and broken nose

Emily wrote a essay about the Liberty Bell and won 4th place and received a $200.00 bond for school.

She was not to happy to go to the awards ceremony because she had broken her nose the night before. She was jumping on the tramp doing flips and her knee got her nose.

We are so proud of you Emily for all your hard work. You can do anything if you put your heart into it.

We were so happy to get to go to Henderson and stay with Dave and Leah for Easter break. We do not get to see them to much and Dave had no school so we jumped on it.

It was so nice to be able to catch up and let the kids enjoy some warm weather.

we were able to celebrate Easter with them and that was great. We love and miss them all so much.

We went to the park and played while the boys went to a movie.

Em loves Penguins so she was pretty excited to see the Penguin snowie place so we had to stop and get one.

Andrew had his first Blue and Gold Banquet this year and his Pinewood Derby.
He had to decorate cupcakes for the Blue and Gold.
He was so happy to do his skit and get his belt loops. He loves Scouts so much.

He had a great time making his car with Mike, of course they chose the Utes for his car.
Even Owen had a blast at the Pinewood with his matchbox cars.

We are so proud of drew and for the wonderful kid he is.

I made a chicken poppy seed casserole for dinner Friday night. Owen was being fussy and not wanting to eat. I told him he had to have 3 more bites and he could get down. He got sad and said he did not want to eat anymore of the little eyes. We all laughed so hard, I had to get the bottle of poppy seed and show him they were not eyes. He finally finished eating. The things kids imaginations will think of, I love it.

So Emily has deceided she wanted to watch the boys 1 day a week for extra money. Well last week Andrew had Basketball camp in the morning and I had woke Emily up to have her watch Owen and explained Drew was gone to camp. I get a call 2 hrs later with her sobbing that she can't find Andrew. I explained to her that he was at basketball camp and could not stop laughing. She however did not think it was that funny. We could not stop laughing all day long about it. Lesson learned: Don't fall back to sleep when you are babysitting. =>

Owen turns 3

February was a fun month for us. With valentines Day, Owens Birthday and tons of my families birthday. We partied for a week long.

As Emily has gotten older she loves to blow up balloons and leave noted for birthdays. Owen was more excited about his balloons in the corner then his presents and Buzz balloons. He did not even ask to open his presents until later that night.
We then had a Birthday party with my family, It was Jens, Aybree, Lauren and also Russells b-day. Russ was not there because they had just moved to Alaska. It was a fun night and of course we got to play cards so that is always great.

We then had a party with the garmires on Sunday. We love being able to get together with family.

Valentines fun and snow

So I am WAY behind on our blog again. It has been a busy 2011 for us. I am hoping to get caught up today since I am off work since Owen is not feeling so hot. We had a fun Valentines again this year. We decorated treats and had our usual candle light dinner. This year Mike was stuck at work so we had it with out him. The kids were bummed that he wasn't there.

We were also lucky to get alot of snow in Febuary. The boys were so excited to play in the snow and build a snowman. Emily enjoyed taking the pictures and we did get her to pose for 1 picture.

So Owen and I went to the mall and he was playing on the playground. He loves to play there and I hardly ever let him. Well he climbed up on the slide and starts yelling "you blithering idiots" and waiving his hands. He loves Peter Pan and has such a good imagination. I was so embarrassed at first but then I just had to laugh. Who cares what all the other folks think right?? He has such a good memory and repeats so much of what he hears.

Emily has been BEGGING with us for a year to get a cell phone. We kept telling her she was to young and we always heard "but my friends have one" We just kept putting her off. Well a few months ago she started giving her friends my cell number and I was getting TONS of text from all her friends. Wasn't bad at first but it got old quick. She also was going to more friends house and I am a very protective mom and hated that I couldn't check one her since some friends don't have home #s. She has been doing so great with it. I am so proud of her. She knows she has to have it off every night by 8 and it does not go to her room at night. So yes we are officially entering the teenage years quick!!!

Crazy "O"

We have the silliest 2 yr old ever!!!! He loves Star Wars and swords, our friends were over and he gave him a sword and got one for himself. He gets on the couch and jumps off and attacks. We all were a little worried for our lives. =) He also is into Peter Pan so he keeps telling us "ill get you for this" (Like hook says to Peter) So then we were driving home tonight from Mikes parents and he keeps asking everyone to sing the ABC song. We all had to take turns singing it. We asked him to sing it and he told me he couldn't but Dad could. He also now thinks its funny to tell people they are hippos. (Thanks to Emily) So we get home and we are trying to potty train him and he tells me he has to go potty. He has deceided its fun to try because then he gets a sticker. After no luck we say prayers and go to put him to bed. I am laying in there with him and he says to me " Mom I don't want you to fire me" I reassure him he is not fired and he goes to bed. What a kid. I am so grateful for his cute personality. I can only imagine what tomorrow will bring with silly O.

Christmas 2010

We had a great Christmas this year. We were able to be with our families and that is my favorite. We did Christmas Eve Day with my family and played some awesome games. We had to fill nylons with balloons and then put it on our head and have it stand straight up to win.My was not as in to it as the rest of us.

We also decorated gingerbread houses. Dad was supposed to be the judge but he is to nice to pick so we were ALL winners. =).

We then went to Mikes families for the annual Christmas Eve night party. We also missed Daves family and Kevins. Each family was asked to share a talent or something with everyone. The Stoddard's sang a beautiful song and Trisha's kids read a story and a poem. Mike had found a Christmas message with a little girl telling the story of Christmas, it was so sweet to hear it from a child's point of view. This was also the 1st Christmas in over 20 years that Mikes dad was able to be with his Dad, he moved here from California and we were excited to see him.

We are so grateful for our families and the love that we have with all of them. I can't imagine our life without them in it.
We had a great Christmas morning with the kids and they were all happy with there presents. Santa brought us a Basketball standard, the kids can't wait tell it is warm enough so Mike can cement it in. Emily got a bike, clothes, music and more music. Andrew got a paper jam guitar, video games, a spinning light sabor, and night vision googles. Owen got a remote control train, pirate guys for his castle, cars cars, and did I mention cars?

Mike was so good to me this year, he got me a gym pass that I have sooo been wanting, he also got me a I-pod and some very cute workout clothes. He did good picking out the clothes all by himself. Mike got a remote control R2 D2, some weights, I tunes money and a massage voucher. We could not have asked for a better week. Just have to enclude a photo of our annual Gungerbread house. The kit had foundant in it and we are big cake boss fans and had to try it out.

Andrews Birthday and Baptism day.

We have had a busy December. We went to Disneyland and came home on Andrews Birthday. Our sweet friends had pizza and a cake waiting for us when we got home. Andrew was so happy to open his presents.

He actually had a week long celebration since everyday he got wished a happy birthday and we did the Disney birthday party for him. He also was able to get baptized on December 23rd. He was going to be baptized the Saturday before and we all had the flu. I told him we were going to wait tell Jan and he was so upset, he wanted to be baptized before Christmas. We have a great Bishopbric and they made it happen for him. I have to say I have a pretty handsome husband and 8yr old. Mike did such a great job on the confirmation. It is so great to hear how the spirit prompts them in blessings. Mike had also been coughing so hard all day and I was a little worried how he would manage. I don't think he coughed the entire baptism until after everything was done. Andrew is such a sweet kid and just smiled from ear to ear all day. We were happy to have the Stoddards here for it. We missed Dave and Leahs family, Kevins family and my sisters were also unable to make it. It is such a busy time of year for people. Grandpa Garmire talked on Baptism and Uncle Devin on the Holy Ghost. He looks up to then both so much.

Disneyland

We had such a great time in California. We had great weather and everyone was healthy. We had all been sick the entire week before our trip and I was stressing it was going to be a crazy week. We all came home and got the flu and bronchitis but hey at least we were well at the happiest place on earth. => It was a much needed vacation for our family, with no interuptions just alone time.
I am so grateful for our family and love spending time together. It was so great to experience Disne with Owen for the 1st time. He loved all the rides and wanted to go on them over and over again. Mike and I have deceided we have been on the Buzz Lightyear ride more then any other Disney ride in our lifes.
It was Andrews when he was little also. Emily is a dare devil and loves all rides. She loves the tower of terror and space mountain best. The stroller pass is great for her cuz she gets to ride 2 times. She also loves anything tinkerbell. Love this picture of her. Andrew is not into the rides as much but he was a trooper and tried most of them once. We celebrated Andrews birthday while we were there and got to decorate birthday cakes. He wore a pin all week and I was amazed at how great all the workers were at wishing him a Happy Birthday. We also were able to go to Sea World, that is my favorite place. We got to feed and touch the Dolphins. I could do that all day. The kids loved to touch the star fishes.

So the sun is a little bright. The photo guy told them to close there eyes and on 3 open them. HA HA so funny.

Early Christmas

Tonight we had a special visitor. Emily was doing homework and heard bells outside. She looked out and saw Santa in our driveway. He waved at her and she said "there is a Santa outside our house' I laughed and told her to let him in and she said no I don't dare. So Andrew went to the door and opened it. Santa was so sweet with the kids, he sang Jingle Bells with them and let them shake bells.

He told Emily she didn't need a cell phone till she had 100 friends. Thank you Santa. .

Andrew just smiled from ear to ear. Santa asked him if he ever talked back to his Mom and he said "sometimes" such a honest guy. He made him pinky promise on camera that he would not talk back.

Owen was not sure what he thought of him.

He brought us a trip to Disneyland and Seaworld. We leave in 2 days.
The kids are so excited. After Santa mentioned rides and Buzz Owen was so excited he keep on saying " I am going to Disneyland to see Buzz and ride rides." He has no idea what is in store for him. Andrew is very nervous to fly but I am sure he will do great once we go. When Mike went to Indiana a few weeks ago he kept telling me he was never going to fly. =>

Mission Accomplished

I just had to take a moment and write about church today. We were asked to speak as a family on service. The kids have been practicing there talks for 2 weeks and were doing great. I myself HATE to stand in public and get so nervous. Mike is great at it and does awesome. So we are getting ready for church and Andrew is way nervous. We had him go first thinking it would be easier for him. He gets up to talk and starts to cry. Mike is up there with him and trying to get him to talk. I did not think he was going to do it. The next thing I hear is Sweet Andrew reading his talk. I was so proud of him for gettting it together to do his talk. It is such a hard thing to do. Emily got up and did a amazing job. She did not seem nervous at all. She just read her talk nice and slow. I am so proud of them both. They are so much stronger then I could have ever been at there age. It is always nice to have it over with. It was a very touching program for me and I am grateful now that it is over that we got the chance to talk on what we did. Lets just pray we are off the hook now for a few years. => After church we had 2 families bring over treats and tell us how good we did. People are so nice. We are lucky to be in the area we are in.

We have been begging Andrew to rid his bike all summer long. Mike raised his training wheels a little and he still hated it. Tonight Mike and Emily were gone to soccer and I made him ride it. After a bit I told him we were taking off the training wheels and he just looked at me and said " You don't know how to take them off" HA HA little to his surprise (and mine) I got them off. I took him in the back and he rode it on the grass so he would realize it wasn't that high off the ground. He took off and did awesome. I am way proud of him. This has been Andrews biggest fear for along time. Way to go Drew.

Sunday mornings at our house usually consist of at least 1 person crying they don't want to get ready for church and Mike waiting tell 10min before to get dressed. (Big pet peeve of mine)

But this morning I walked in on Andrew helping Owen fix his pants and helping him brush his teeth.

Such a cute moment I had to post it. I love when they work together to help each other out.

Of course what would be a day without dirt for Owen, even in church clothes. He loves to dig.

Last day of school and the Zoo for Memorial Day

It is hard to believe I will soon have a 5th grader and a 2nd grader. This year has gone by so fast its crazy. I took some pictures of there class to do a craft for the teachers. They turned out pretty cute. Mrs. Fuhriman was Emily's teacher she loved to read books to the kids.

Andrews class Mrs. Kite was his teacher, he absolutely loved her. He wanted to take her a treat each day the last week of school. Our crazy Emily found this stick walking home the last day of school. She just had to bring it home to show us.

We went to the Zoo for Memorial Day. We had free coupons for the Carousel so the kids were excited.

Owen got scared by the water Elephant it was funny. Mike could not stop laughing and they stayed for a bit and played.

We went with Melissa Pelaez it was fun to have her with us.

We finished off our Memorial Day with a BBQ at Mikes parents and homemade ice cream. All the kids love to have the ice cream it is a favorite tradition with the Garmires. We wish all the Garmire clan could have been there, we miss you all.

Boy oh boy! Has it ever been a busy time this spring!?! We have been running kids to soccer and baseball practices and games. Between that and piano lessons and all of the other extra things Emily and Andrew do with school and church... well... it's hard to get a breath in! It has been very fun however, Emily's soccer team went 5-2-1 this spring and she has played brilliantly!

Andrew's soccer team has done very well also placing a 6-1-1 record up He has really become a little aggressive player these days. .He has really taken a liking to baseball and has done well in the game as well.

Not to mention, keeping up with the youngest, (Owen) has sure had its moments! He's a great kid, a very active one at that!

...and we wouldn't have it any other way!

Fun at Discovery gateway

We went down to Discovery Gateway a month ago with some friends. I was worried about taking Andrew back on the train since our last experience but he did good. No closed doors on anyone.
Drew loved the wall climbing. He is getting braver all the time.

Leave it to Owen to figure out a different way to do something. He had all the 2yr olds driving cars down the slide. After that he gave us a big scare. He was running and hit the cement floor hard. He usually doesn't cry but he cried forever. We went to eat lunch and he just stared off into space. I was worried he had a concusion and was wondering how to get him to a doctor since we rode the trax. He kept falling to sleep. Then all of a sudden he was back and ready to go. I was happy to have my busy 2yr old back. Miss. Emily loves to be silly. She wore that box forever. She keeps us laughing all the time. Kathy, Masen, and Andrew. Owen and Tanner our good buddies. Tanner was happy to be able to hold Owen while he slept on the way home.

Ms Walk

Me and Emily did the MS walk with the McBrides and MarDee and her kids. Drew had soccer so he Mike and Owen did not get to come. It was sooooo cold that morning but it was a fun experience. we are going to try to do it every year to raise money for MS. Together we raised over 400.00. Mike and MarDee helped design the shirts. We were the D.J Walkers (For my mom Dorie Jensen) It was alot of fun we all had matching shirts and the color for the MS society is Orange so the girls had orange in ther hair.

We finished off the weekend at Mikes parents house for the best dinner as always. It was so nice to stay home since it was conference weekend and stay in Pjs most of the day.

So i found this idea on the internet and thought it was cool since it is almost Valentines. We got hearts and everyone had to list a reason why they love each other. It was cute to see the things the kids wrote and how creative they could be.

I think coloring on his face was more fun then the heart.
After we finished everyone got to read what they wrote and we posted them up in our kitchen. Was so fun to see what they wrote and to show each other they love each other.

Family news

It has been busy at our home once again. Just wanted to share a few updates. We got a new camera for Christmas and I need to download pictures but I need to read the instructions first. So for know words is all we have. Maybe I will get motivated tomorrow. So for know here we go.

Emily has been playing indoor soccer. She is a great defender. Last Saturday she scored 2 goals. I was at Time out for women and missed it. =< Mike said she did awesome. She is a peer leader in training at her school and is way excited about that. She is a good friend to everyone and a great tease to her brothers. We love Ems crazy personality and her willingness to help out around the house even when she doesn't want to.

Andrew is excited to start back at playing soccer. He still loves his video games and I think he would play them all day if he could. He is a sweet boy and is always caring for others. He is a great student. We just had parent teacher conference and he is reading 70 WPM. He loves to read and play with his friends. He is such a good example to Owen even when Owen drives him crazy and wont leave him alone. He just went to Its great to be eight. Crazy to think he will get baptized this year. He is growing to fast and I want him to stop.

Owen is our busy child who is almost two. He talks non stop and loves to watch "oody" AKA Toy Story. He loves to play with the older kids and be apart of everything. He climbs and jumps off everything and anything he can. He is doing good without his Binky and that is great. He loved to tell you where all his body parts our. Owen is a spit fire and we love him.
Mike and I are just busy with the day to day things and doing great. We are going to attempt (well me) to play indoor soccer in March. I am scared to death but need to do something. Emily said she and her Friend whos parents will be on the team said they will be at every game cheering us on. Lets hope we can give them something to cheer about.
I am so grateful for my family and I hope that we can always stay close to each other. I love that my kids are so strong willed (most days) and know what they want.

Well it is official. Mike took down Owens crib tonight. There is no going back. He has been sleeping in the bunk beds with Drew for a few weeks and does pretty good. When I was taking the sheets off he wanted to lay in it because I had hooked the mobile up to it to get a pic so I can sell it. He laid there and watched it for a minute it was cute but also sad to think we will not have a crib set up again. It is sad to think how fast time flies.

Andrew turned 7 on December 11. I can't believe he is so big.

He was the hardest baby and never stopped crying. We thought it would never pass.
He got really sick with RSV and had to be hospitalized.

He is now the easiest laid back kid ever. He loves to play soccer and play video games. He is our little tender heart and hates to disappoint anyone. He is doing great in 1st grade and loves to read. We are so proud of you Drew and love you so much. I am glad you had a good birthday.

Christmas wish list

We had a fmaily party last night and Santa stopped by for a visit. Owen was not to sure what to think about him. His eyebrows showed concern the entire time. Emily asked for little pet shops, Drew for a ds game (surprise surprise) and O just stared. I am thinking any type of car will be great for O. He is crazy about them.
While we were in Vegas with Mikes family Andrew had told Dave and Leah he wants ribs for Christmas. The kid LOVES ribs.
Emily told me after she got off Santas lap that we need to go to the mall because she forgot to ask him for a camera. She really wants a camera but I wonder if she forgot so we could go to the mall. => She is so into the mall and I think we are going to be in big trouble.

Girls weekend

A few weeks ago me and Emily went with all of my sisters and all the girl cousins for the weekend. We went and stayed at Nancys house. We did crafts and went to Bryce Canyon.
It was freezing at Bryce but it was so fun to go. It was a first for me and Emily.

Mike and the boys had a great time while we were gone. Thanks boys for letting us go away. Love ya

Moms little helper

Just had to share how cute Andrew was a few weeks ago. He wanted Macaroni and cheese. The noodles were going and I left them to run do something. He came and told me the noodles were ready and asked if he could put the sauce in. I told him yes when it was time. I came up stairs to find him stirring the noodles. He had added the cheese into the water. It was so funny. Yes we all ate the macaroni and cheese so we wouldn't hurt his feleings. Thanks buddy for being so helpful.

We had a awesome October this year. The weather was terrific for carving pumpkins outside and treak or treating.

Yellowstone

It has been to long again since I have updated the blog. Emily keeps telling all the good new stuff on all the blogs. So here is the Gar update. We went to Yellowstone this summer and we all loved it. The kids and I had never been before and Mike didn't remeber alot of what we saw. The kids loved to see the animals. One day we were eating lunch and some elk were like 25 feet away from us resting in the shade. It was a great trip and we can't wait to go back.

Emily was given a cabbage in a cup at the end of school to plant. Mike and I were a little hesitant about planting it but Em insisted.
We started in a pot outside but it got so big we had to replant it in the ground.
as many of you know we don't have a garden so we ended up planting it in our flower bed. It grew awesome. She can turn in her pictures and earn money for a scholorship. We had another great 4th of July with our neighbors.
We had homemade ice cream, played football and just enjoyed each others company.

I thinkg the kids all enjoyed the glowsticks as light sabers over the fireworks.

We went to the Union Station to see the displays off the new Christmas movie. It was awesome to see all the detail that goes into making a show. emily loved to take pictures of all the statues and pictures. She is a awesome photographer.

Andrew played baseball this year and he had a blast.
He did so good, towards the end of the season he was hitting the ball out past mid field.

We went to water fall canyon with Mikes parents, Brendas family and Kevins. It was alot of fun. The kids all did a great job. It was so beautiful at the top.

Owen is 15mths old. Time goes by so fast. He is definitely the busiest kid we have had.
He loves to climb on EVERYTHING. He is always trying to get in the cupboards and loves to walk around with a squirt bottle squirting everything.
He loves to play outside. When I get him dressed he always will go get his shoes and hands them to me and sits down.
When I change his diaper and sing the ABC's he will start singing them with me. He is so much fun for us all.

Country View 5k

We participated in our kids 5k again this year. Everyone improved there times.
Mike and Emily did it in 31 min, Drew 42 and me and Owen 47minutes.
It was alot of fun. The kids look forward to it every year.

We have trees!

We have talked about getting trees for a few years and always wait tell it is to hot. So this year we got on the ball and got them planted.
Owen and Drew were awesome helpers. Whenever Mike does anything in the yard Owen is his shadow.
I kept giving Owen his little shovel and he wanted nothing to do with it, he has to have the cool shovels like dad.

Emily will be starting competition soccer this fall. She is so excited to have Mike and Grandpa G as her coach.
She is a excellent soccer player and I can't wait to see how her new team does.

It was another great year for Drew.
Had to show tired Owen,Drews games were during nap time.
It is amazing how fast all the kids on the team were. We had a great team with supportive parents. Andrew improved tons sice last season.

Yes, we played soccer in the rain today. The kids loved every minute of it. Andrew had 3 goals. Emily had a great assist, almost a goal and was a great defender. They are both so much fun to watch and it's amazing how well they do. I need to get better at taking pictures this season, it is harder with Owen. Next week.

Park time

March Madness

Our ward had a March Madness party. Each organization had a handicap. The RS had to wear crazy glasses, HP-masks YW-oven mitts and so forth.
It was just a goofy game but it was a BLAST!!!!
Mike got a technical because his shirt flipped up so they called him for a belly shirt. The YM got pentalized for running to fast against the RS. It was a great family activity and everyone had a great time.

Soccer is back!!!

We started back to soccer yesterday. The other coach called and wanted to postpone the boys so Andrew was sad. It ended up being ok weather so they could have played. =<. Emily's team won 4-2 and she had 2 goals. YEAH!!! It was a good game. Owen is definitely going to be a challenge, he does not like to hold still. Good game Emily. Love Ya.

We surprised the kids and took them to Disney on Ice with Mikes parents. It was alot of fun. Andrew and Dougs favorite part was the Zambonee (I think that is how you spell it). After we went to Applebees and to Make Andrews bear from Build A bear he got for his B-day. It was a great night.

Andrew and I were reading books and heard an awful sound outside. So we looked out and had these geese in the yard. They were soooo loud it was crazy. Owen wanted to stay outside and look at them. Our tax guy came and thought they were pets. HA HA. I am glad they aren't they were there for like 2hrs and were WAY to loud.

Wow this last year has gone by so fast. Owen has been walking since January and is VERY curious. He is a very happy baby and loves everybody. Owens loves cars and even will make the sound of a car for you VROOM VROOM. He is already to go outside and whenever the door opens he makes a run for it. We are so happy to have Owen a part of our family. We love you Owen.

Environmental Center

Mike was able to go with Emily on her field trip to the Environmental Center.

They had a great time. Emily loved to snow shoe but was not to sure what she thought of skiing. The weather was perfect for them. Mike had never been up there before so he enjoyed it alot.

Our awesome neighbors have a bird and all the kids love it. Owen deceided to stick his finger up to the bird and it bit him and his face was so funny. We tried to reinact the entire thing but he got smarter and didn't pull as funny as a face.It was so funny to waych him. Lets just hope he is not scared of birds when he is older. =>

It is so hard to beleive Andrew is 6. He is growing so fast. He came in our room the morning of his Birthday and said "mom it is crazy but I do feel like I am six and I can't beleive it" I just had to laugh at him. Emily had her ninth birthday on the 5th of October. She and her friends met at our home and opened presents and had a real rowdy time!

After presents, they made their way to the big city, Salt Lake City, to go and build bears at Build a Bear. They all got to make their own bear, and dress it with their own style.

Afterwards they finished up with a little treat. Emily had a great time with her friends, as she always does. Happy Birthday Emily!!

It was a Happy Halloween, except for the fact after we got done with the "trunk or treat". Andrew got sick. When we got home, he took off his costume got in the tub and then into bed. Didn't feel good at all!! But we all still had fun. We stayed home and played games after we went out and knocked on doors for a couple of hours with Emily and her friend Hailey.

Fun in the snow

On Sunday we woke up to a surprise, a yard full of snow! Drew was so excited he wanted to go play in it at 6:30 in the morning. They had a blast building a snowman with Mike and I am so glad that seems to be Dads job with the kids. Thanks Mike! That night are cute snowman was knocked over by some kids and the kids were very disapointed but I am sure there will plenty more snow for snowmen.

Owen fell on Emilys Birthday and hit his little bead table and got a black eye. It is kinda hard to see in the picture but it is on his left eye look close. I am sure it will not be his last injury he is so active and pulls up on everything.

Things have going faily strong for both teams. The Silver Dragons are a convincing 3-0 by beating their oponents by an average of 11 goals. Every team member has at leadt 4 goals a piece. Andrew himself has eight goals in the teams first 3 games.

The Inferno, has had a rough start, but seem to be getting things together. After a formation change and fiddling with the personel, they may have found some answers to some of their question marks. They sit at a mark of 2-0-1. Emily found the back of the net twice in the last match to give her 2 goals on the season. Go teams!!

Growing like a weed Andrew is... Already in school and for the most part likes it. In the beginning he was nervous and a little worried that he might not like school, but is fine with it now.

Andrew really likes to build things with the Legos they have at school. He also likes his teacher and has made a new friend named Thomas. Wow! Andrew starting school, doesn't seem right.

Owen has very much been a blessing to our family. He has been the most relaxed of the three kids. The boy is filled with love and many things that you find when you look into a baby eyes. It is truly amazing to me how these little helpless kids grow up to be little people of there own. We love Owen very much and try to cherish every waking moment, although the waking moments in the middle of the night are harder to cherish. :) But he is growing up very fast and that is exciting and sad in the same.

The adventure on the Frontrunner

We had quite the adventure on the Frontrunner. The first time we had really taken the train for travel, and at the beginning it was a little scary. When we first were getting on to the train Emily and Andrew walked onto the train first, then the guts got a little twisted in mine and Lisa's stomach. The doors closed!!... Emily and Andrew on a train on its way to Salt Lake City with out their parents. Luckily things were figured out. Cooler heads prevailed when Emily thought and looked for a button the read open. She then pushed the button and the doors magically opened. Just like the button said is would. But after the start of the trip on the train, it was enjoyable, a little warm to be walking around the Gateway (104 degrees), but it was a fun little get away.

The kids and Lisa went to a little water hole in Odgen. they had a good time cooling off and taking a break from the heat.

It was a good time to let the kids run around and blow off some steam. Actually it was really a way to run the gas out of the kids so they will crash when they get home and go to bed.

The summer just seems to be flying right on by! We have spent a lot of time at the Lagoon already and have visited the Zoo a few times too. There does not seem to be enough time to do much, NEVER TIME TO RELAX!

On our last trip to the zoo Grandma and Grandpa came with us. Grandpa had fun withe the ducks while Grandma had fun with Owen.

When we aren't at the Lagoon or the zoo, we are taking time off and enjoying our new privacy in the backyard, hanging out with just us.

Well the soccer season is over! Both the Transformers (Andrew's team) and the Lightning (Emily's team) had successful years. The Transformers went on and played to a 10-2-2 record, with Andrew helping their cause by scoring 34 goals for the team. The Lightning also did very well, Emily found the net 17 times! They ended up at 11-2-1. Couldn't have had better kids to coach then the ones I had this year on both teams!

Country View 5k

Emilys school had a 5k last Friday night and it was a blast. Emily and Mike ran the entire time and she came in 2nd in her division. She is a great runner and always determined in all that she does. Good job Emily. =-) Andrew and I ran a little over a mile, we had his little friend Mason with us and they were troopers, although by the 3rd mile they had deceided to cut ther feet off because they were so tired. "Nanny Kathy" pushed Owen in his stroller so me and the older boys could run. Thanks Kathy.

We had family, we had friends, and what else do you really need? the weather was great, good enough to have everyone who came over and try out the improved back yard, the one that is fenced in now. This week in our soccer world; the Transformers (boys) are starting to get the hang of playing this game. They had a back and forth game at a furious pace. More of a tennis match some would say, but they came away with the "W" 11-9(Andrew had 4 goals). The girls met up with a team that was a good match. "Lightning" struck first with Savanna found the back of the net for the games first goal. Only after, seeing the our opponent score three times after, leaving us down 3-1 at the half. The girls played better in the second half, scoring 4 more goals (Savanna scoring 4) and holding the other team to 1 goal. They survived this one 5-4. Good job Lightning!

We are so happy to have Owen in our family he was born Febuary 24,2008. He weighed 7 lbs 5 oz and was 20 1/2 inches long. He has been alot of fun and our older kids love him so much.
